At our core, we are storytellers.

A Black-owned independent magazine publication, Mas Magazine provides a platform for creatives who are often overlooked by mainstream media. We share the stories and talents of Black creatives, POC creatives, disabled creatives, queer creatives, seasoned creatives, and women and gender-nonconforming creatives identifying with womanhood. Mas is a hub for boundless creativity, vibrant ideas, and pushing boundaries. We believe in showcasing diverse voices and perspectives while providing a space for people to share their experiences and passions.

JOEL TAYLOR - Cofounder + Creative Director

I'm a multi-talented artist who thrives on making a difference in everything I do. My passion lies in capturing moments through my photography, designing visually stunning graphics, and marketing in a way that inspires people to take action. I absolutely love creating new things that are not only beautiful but also informative and inspiring to everyone who comes across them.

I'm passionate about media in all its forms, from TV and film to writing, design, fashion, and more. Amanda Tripp - Head of Marketing + Content Producer

I have a background in both marketing strategy and film studies, along with 3 years of marketing experience and 5 years running my own photography/videography business. Storytelling has always been at the heart of what I do, and I’m driven by the belief that everyone deserves a platform to share their creativity and unique perspective. My passion is making sure everyone's voices are heard, recognized, and celebrated.
